The Bisson Sport Strap-on Muffler sounds like a tuned muffler. I think 12x4 is too big for this muffler, as it will not slow down no matter how rich I adjust the hi-speed needle. Perpahs it does not give enough back pressure; yet it does not lean out when I hold the plane vertical. I shall try APC 11.5x4 and see what happens.

My TT has run for three gallons since purchased 5 months ago.
Now it turns:
Temp:18 degrees C
ASL:0(I fly at see level)
Prop:12.25x3.75 APC
Fuel:20 nitro/22 oil Felix pattern fuel
RPM reading:12.150 peak
But richening to 11.500 for take off.
Pulls out my 4.2 lbs TT 3D spirit very well from a hover.

Inverted, can't get reliable idle. Mounted it sideways with pitts muffler. Will post results after next time out.

i Had a TT 46 pro, bearings finely gave out after close to 6 yrs. running Cool Power 30% heli fuel (run it in everything i have glow) it turned an 11x6 at only 15,200 with the stock muff.

I just got a TT .46 on a plane I just bought an I was amazed.

TT .46

MA Black 11x6

Magnum 20/20 fuel

Around 200 ft ASl

Was running about a 2 inch spinner.

Peak of over 14,700!

Edit: this is a stock muffler.

Have any of you guys tried your Pro 46s with the baffle removed???? I have 2 of them on a twin and I am considering pulling the baffles. Also how did your engine run with the baffle removed?? Thanks Skip D

Before you do anything, try the stock TT Pro 46 with a 12x4 prop. I was amazed at the increase in RPM and thrust. It really turned up quick.

It was slower (due to the shallower pitch) so watch your turns on final (ask me how I know) but overall, I really liked that combination. Never pulled the baffle. Didn't feel a need to, but that's just my personal preference.

Ive got two and have removed both baffles... I dont have any numbers but they run fine and seem to wind up the 10x6 really well... will post readings next time I get out.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I am running APC 10x7s now on a Dual Ace. A 10 inch prop is about all I can get away with on this plane. How does the engine like the 10x6? Thanks Skip D

If that's a general question for anyone, my experience is that the 10x6 might be a bit 'light' for the engine (works better on the 40 Pro), but will give very acceptable performance.

If you are stuck with the 10" diameter, try the 10x6 and the 10x7 and see which prop fits your flying style for that plane.

If you were directing that question to Skip D, I apologize for butting in.
