Default Is Tactic 4 channel a full-range tx/rx?

I have been out of rc for a couple years and am intrigued by the 2.4 technology. I don't want/need more than four basic channels. I noticed that the basic Tactic 4ch has only a nub for an antenna. Realizing that electronics continue to get smaller and better all the time, I still must ask if this unit is suitable for general sport flying and not just park flyers.

Thanks!

Tony

If you get the TTX404 transmitter with the TR624 receiver, you'll have a full-range system. Depending upon the Transmitter Ready (TxR) model you purchase, you may have a range limitation, but that would be because of the micro receiver in the model.

According to previous threads I've read before ordering the X650, it has a longer range than you can probably see line of sight. The Anylink module is advertised to be good out to 1,000 ft.

"Full range" means that you have control of the model as long as it is in direct line-of-sight with the unaided eye. In other words, if you can see it, you have control.
