Default Model Aviation 650 Tactic

In the AMA Magazine (page 47) the author claims that if you use the 650 TX there is no problem with range.
He states that with the AnyLink adapter on a TX there is limited range using the 6 ch receiver.

I fly some pretty big Old Timer Planes using a 6EXA and I have no range problems but his comments are scaring me.

Is there a range limit using the Anylink??????????

The AnyLink transmitter module is advertised as having a 1000-foot range. The Tactic TTX650 transmitter has full line-of-sight range with the 6-channel receiver. Please note that some of the TX-R airplanes with micro equipment will also be short range, and limited to about 1000 feet.
