Default Lightning's effect on 2.4?

What effect does lightning have on 2.4 transmissions? At up to what distance?(I know that's pretty variable depending on the strength of the lightning bolt) What should we be aware of? I know that when using 72Mhz and PCM I had the receiver go into failsafe just for an instant when lightning occured within about five miles, but, there was a quick recovery. Will the same thing happen with 2.4 or is there a longer recovery time?

Thanks,

We haven't done much testing with lightning, however, it can cause momentary difficulties if it's nearby, just like with any other radio signal. It will cause fewer problems than with older AM or FM transmissions, but the voltage and electrical effects of lightning are so strong that there will likely be some effects. However, we have no hard data on this.
