Default TTX650 lost its accumulated time

The last time I checked the timer on my
TTX650 it had about 87 hours total time
since I got it a year ago. That was a couple
of months ago. I checked it again today
and it shows only about 2 hours.

I am certain I didn't reset the timer, but the
time is lost. None of the other settings were
lost for any of the many aircraft settings.

What could have made the timer reset itself?
How can I prevent it from happening again?

Thanks

Jenny

In the Timer section of the Settings menu, you can set a regular countdown timer, but it also shows the time for "TxBatt". That can be zerored by moving the cursor to the label and pressing the "Clear" button (to the left of the screen).

There is no general timer that shows total time on the transmitter.

The manual for the TTX650 says that timer "accumulates the total
amount of time the radio has been operational." If it doesn't do
this, what is it good for? Should I even care that it reset itself?

Thanks.

It isn't supposed to reset itself, but it can be reset by moving the cursor over "Tx Batt" and pressing the "Clear" button. It's been know to happen that it's been reset accidentally.

It's used to time how long you've used it since the last charge, or total "on" time, or how much you used it that day, and so forth. However you want to use it. However, it should not do it by itself.
