Default I want a lunchbox

I want to get the Lunchbox, but I can't seem to find out if they are brushless or is that for only newer style RC's? Are parts easy to come by? I have a Nitro and I would like to give electric a try, and besides I've loved the look since I was younger. There's a guy on Ebay who sells the lunchbox, but with custom paint. I thought I'd get one from him or the local hobby shop has one still in the box. I look forward to your reponses.
Cheers

They do not come brushless, but the transmissions can handle brushless power. Parts are pretty easy to come by online, you'd have to check your local hobby shop to see if they carry Tamiya parts. They are fun trucks that can be upgraded to have pretty decent handling. Sorry I took so long to answer, but this section doesn't get a whole lot of threads often, so I don't check very much anymore.

I have always loved the lunchbox as well. Been a big fan since I was a kid.

Right now I am building a CC-01 and was debating on a LB or Wild Willy since they are the same chassis.

Actually the only vehicles that shared the LB chassis are the midnight pumpkin and the original pajero(the LB and MP use extenders to give them a lift). The current wild willy uses it's own unique chassis with a rear gearbox from the dagger/BF xtreme series trucks. It uses regular tl01 arms(not the tl01b arms like the dagger) and is shorter than the LB. This makes it more prone to pulling wheelies than the lb and MP. They are both good vehicles IMO.

Thanks for the info - For some reason I thought they were the same.

Once I am done with the CC-01, will decide on the other. I have always been a Tamiya fan.

Well, they both are made to be able to wheely, but it's easier with Willy. Willy does have the advantage of having upper and lower front suspension arms, though.

Same here. I like how they do their own thing and don't follow other companies with the latest trends. Almost all of their products are still made in Japan, too, just like when they started.

I have'nt found a need to put in a stronger motor then the 540 that it comes with. It would just be a constant wheel stand with a hot motor. I've had hours and hours of fun with just the 540.
The new kit's should come with the motor and the ESC. So all you need is a servo and radio.
