my 8.0 always runs and starts fine. iv had it for a year and there are no problems at all. i took it to a race recently and when i used the drill it made a grinding sound an didnt start. afterward i pulled the trigger on the drill w/o the glow plug and it sounded fine. anyone have this prob? what was it?

if you are not an after run user like me, sometimes after storage you will notice that the engine seems a little harder to turn.
castor based fuel after you run it and then store it you will notice that the castor gets very thick and more like sludge.
i recomend with glow plug out ,use some after run and your roto start to break up the gummed up castor.
or disassemble for inspection and cleaning.

chances are that the grinding you heard was the roto start slipping cuz the engine was too hard to turn over with the gummed castor.

i have never used sidwinder but i know the byron 20% i use is supposed to be good enough to not have to do the after run .
i think because it's a synthetic base.
