RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
Finally got a chance to get to theLHS topick upsome new springs and a heavier shock oil. Went with the red/copper combo, with 40w oil and the 2-hole pistons. I ran it a bit with just changing the springs. Major help right there. Gonna run it again tomorrow after doing the rest and see what I think.. Here's some pictures. Don't mind the blue paint on the truck, ran intoa paint canat about 15mph. It had rained earlier and I decided to go out and play after it stopped. That's when I found out it was running rwd. I sheared the front trans outdrive pin.

Those shocks look awesome! [8D]
And if i am seeing correctly.... Did you drill the center of a stock 8.0 wheel out and use a 23mm truggy style adapter on it? I have been wondering if that would work or not. Was drilling the axle hole bigger the only thing you had to do?

What thunder tiger parts are you talking about? 17mm wheel, or hex?
I like the idea of 23mm wheels with a full size truggy style adapter. You'd be real hard pressed to ever strip those buggers

Sorry! Yes I was talking about the TT 17MM wheel hubs! I'm not even sure where you can get 23mm any more! Dace is gone, Integy, Losi, Cen maybe?

What's a good website to get parts for the MGT? Everything out there is for the MGT 8.0 or 4.6. Or are the parts interchangeable?? Sorry I'm new to the hobby.

MGT has three versions the first was .21, second .46 this version engine upgrade and supposedly had steel transmission gearing but the few versions I opened up in fact did not! It was preceded by the 8.0 .50 engine upgrade, steel gear transmission, steel spur gear with carrier, new wheels, body, and a few other things.
All the parts are interchangeable! I didn’t care much for the .50 engine, but the new transmission and steel spur gear was a need improvement. My .28 Picco would shred the standard tranny!
What are you needing to do?

RE: Monster GT anyone have one?
I have the .21 So far with out really tearing into at all I need. Front shock tower, fuel line, primer, air filter, front bumper, battery cover for the remote and I know something is wrong with the front drive shaft. It's been sitting for 7 years so I'm going to have to clean it. I put batteries in the controler and it seems to work so that's a plus!
