MGT 3.0 rims and strut tower?

Ok, so i got my MGT 3.0 for christmas, and FINALLY got to break it in today, took a while to get warm enough here.
So here are my questions:

First, I want to get a set of offset tires, for stability. Any one have suggestions?
Someone on another thread recommended Maximizer bead locks.

second, while breaking it in I rolled it (IE why I want the rims), wasn't going too fast, but I busted the rear shock tower in 2 spots. No big deal, but want to replace it soon.
Does anyone use the Integy aluminum tower? Or is there another brand that will outlast the stock tower?
Thanks for any help you can give!

I had my 3.0 flip over too at the beginning. A quick fix you might try is to take those small spacers off of the shocks. you know, the ones that came on it. I barely roll over after I did that. makes it ride a tad bit lower.

integgy is crap. stay away from them. OFNA makes 17mm adapters that will open up a whole new world of tires.[link]http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/11588[/link]

heree is a few picx to get an idea of how the off will look. 1 pic is full offset and the other is 1/2 offset.

Teh problem with those Scott, is that you are still going to have to use the 5mm nut to hold on a rin that is made to be held on with a 17mm nut. There is a whole lot of uncoverd area there and they are bound to strip. For a few bucks more I would go with any 17mm conversion.

Ive seen you post this several times now.. Care to elaborate on exactly why integy is "crap"? Do you own any integy parts? Do you have the pics of broken parts if you've used integy? Back up your statment please so we all know where your coming from.

integy is more "crap" because of overpirce alloy parts in turn for show quality looks and easier chance of screwing yourself with bending

Google Integy and a thousand Rc forum posts will pop up from people complaining fo the poor quality of alluminum. The only Integy items I own are a set of hex drivers that i bought when I was a n00b and the tips broke off, one by one. These arent mine but they look identicle now.

Integy also steals designs from other companys who spend thousands in research here in the united stated and make them in china out of cheap alluminum. Here are som discussion threads to prove my point.
