CAmodel Extra 2.3m Rudder pull-pull System
 

Hello!
I'm building a CAmodel Extra 300L 31% (2360mm).
I'm going to use to rudder a Hitec 5745 Jumbo. I was thinking about a 3" full arm from Airwild and pull-pull cables directly from the arm to the rudder control horns, but I have seen other systems like Bellcrank, crossed pull-pull cables... and I don't know what should I do.

Could you advice me?

I successfully use a direct link to an 8611 servo with large (3D) control arm in my 40% Extra. The servo is the last of 3 servos in a row and has a JR servo output shaft support. So, you can directly link the cable to a servo. You can try this, and if you don't get enough rudder throw you can screw on a metal piece on top of the arm to give you a little more extension (If I'm reading that right, you have 3 inch full arm, which is 1 1/2 on each side). I did this and mine extends out to 4 inch full arm.

By the way, I use a standard Du Bro 4x40 cable kit as well. I had used on my 40% Extra, a the thin cable (2x56) but that snapped on the left side of a one roll rolling circle (a fun experience just over the trees). But since then I've been using the same 4x40 size cable for three years, hundreds of flights, with no problem.
