Default 3-D Flyer Magazine

Guys, I'm searching for subject matter for upcoming article topics to write about in 3-D Flyer magazine. Let me know what would be of interest to you.

What do you think of the new mag? Did you like "My Grandmother Can Torque Roll" in the first issue?

My whole reason for doing that was so I could do a freestyle to "Runnin on Empty" and give it real meaning.

How about an article on that rolling snapping circle? It is very cool and I have only see you do it.

Hi Mike!

I think it would be interesting to hear how you guys learn new stuff....both learning new schedules...and pushing new maneuvers to the limit of the plane.....the "how-to"....stuff is being covered very heavily by everyone (Rojecki etc.)...not to make light of all the sweet new tricks...but one more....hover, harrier, waterfall, TR article and ill puke...just kidding fellas.
So I want to read about the creation...and fine tuning of your flying.

George in NY.

Maybe how to ease 3D into your club when your fellow club members fly circles and patterns.
I think alot of pilots go about it the wrong way. Kill em with kindness.

The 3D crowd is beginning to INVADE my local flying site... (I am one of them LOL).. and there appears to be some animosity developing towards our genre of flying. Please think about an article that can develop means of harmoneous aviating between the traditional and 3D flyers. It seems that the 3D'rs like to fly show center, in close. That causes a bit of discomfort for the remaining flyers who typically only take off and land with the occasional low flyby. To complicate matters, the 3D'rs tend to be large MOGas users, so a 25 minute flight is not unusual. How can we intergrate these 2 groups in a huggy-kissy way?!?!? We also have turbines in our crowd, but they are only up for 4 to 6 minutes, easily tolerated.

How about an article showing how you trim and prepare your planes for 3D/freestyle. It seems everyone at the local clubs is an expert, how about hearing from someone who has the talent to back it up! Perhaps a side by side showing rates, cg, expo, and radio mixing between 3D and sequence flying.

Just an idea...

Eric...

Add to all of the above the "How To's" of servo set up and linkage geometry for all the newbies. Information about what to look out for, and methods of preventing, and discovering, ganged servo binding and so forth. That, with an illustration or two, could probably take up two issues.
