Default (1) 8611 ON AILERONS?

Mike,
On the h9 330s if one 8611 will work on the rudder, how about one on each aileron? And if so would you mount it in the inner or outer position? You could save about 4 oz. in servo weight vs. the (2) 8411's/aileron i am using now.

Default RE: (1) 8611 ON AILERONS?

I am wondering the same thing. I was thinking of using a single 8611a in each wing on the 33% Edge. If I used the single servo I was going to cover the two current holes and cut and build a mount for the single servo in the center of the wing. I have seen some non foam core wings of 35% planes using single servos in the wings. I do not know the maker of the 35% 260 I saw over the weekend, but it did have the hinges doubled up at both ends. That plane was also going on 4 years old.
