Default SFGdesign

Mike
I was wondering how scientififc the design of SFG is? I fly off grass and would like to increase the ground clearance whilst retaning SFG. I dont want to modify the U/C as it is already long enough. I was wondering what effect changing he size and shape of the SFGs would have. In particular what would happen if I raise the whole sfg by say 1 inch or so on a funtana X50 so that more of the sgfg was abov the wing than below it. Any ideas?
Cheers
Tich

Default RE: SFGdesign

It will likely change the roll and pitch coupling with rudder. May also become non-linear; i.e. little coupling near neutral rudder but severe at large rudder deflections.
That being said, give it a try and let. I'd love to hear how it goes.
