Hello, folks ..

Finally getting back to flying my helicopters and I have a question. I'm about to put together a NIB Raptor Titan SE 50 .. but before I purchase the recommended engine (I believe it's a Redline 50) I would like some input on whether a NIB Thunder Tiger PRO-46 ABC, R/C would do the job. It's an aircraft engine, of course, but since it's brand new and never had fuel of any kind through it, will it perform effectively in the Titan?

Your help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Del Archer

well, the main issue is heli engines have big heatsink heads. your fixed wing engine doesn't and will probably overheat. 2nd, you will not have a lot of power. you will be lucky to hover and do some forward flight. imo

Also the crankshaft length is different on heli engines, the aircraft engine may well have a longer crankshaft.

Get a heli engine like an OS50 hyper
