Default Throttle Jockey / Raptor 50 / JR 8103 Help

Can someone help me attain the following results from my Throttle Jockey V2, in my Raptor 50 with OS 50, and my JR 8103A radio:

Flight Mode (Normal): governor to maintain 1550 rotor RPM
Flight Mode (STNT 1): governor to maintain 1950 rotor RPM
Flight Mode (STNT 2): governor to maintain 1950 rotor RPM

I wish to not have the ability to turn the TJ off with a switch, but have it on full time in all modes as stated above.

I believe that my gear ratio is 8.5:1 after looking at the stock gears that came with the Raptor 50 which I am using but please correct me if I am wrong on the stock gear ratio on the R50.

Does anyone have explicit information on how to obtain the above results? I have read the documentation on Model Avionics but would like to hear from someone who has used the TJ V2 with my particular setup.

Thanks.

Default RE: Throttle Jockey / Raptor 50 / JR 8103 Help

I have the throttle jockey on my raptor 30 setup on both a 3810 and a 9X. I only use the flight mode switch but have no governing in normal mode and a seperate rotor speed for stunt one and stunt 2.

I use the governor plugged into Aux3 with the 3810 or aux4 for the 9x. This channel is automatically switched by the flight mode switch. I use 3 mixers to control my speeds. Here is my setup on the 3810 (9x is very similar).

Prog.Mix1
Aux3->Aux3
Point L = 100
point 2 = 0
Point H = 100
SW: F-S2

Prog.Mix2
Aux3->Aux3
Point L = 70 (Stunt 1 rotor speed)
point 2 = 80 (Stunt 2 rotor speed)
Point H = 100 (doesnt actually do anything)
SW: F-S12

Prog.Mix3
Aux3->Aux3
Rate:-> -100% (If you altered this to -30, normal flight mode speed would be 70% and you would have governing in all modes)
0%
SW: ON

Hope this helps
Adrian

I have never used a throttle jockey or a governor but if you do not use a switch to turn it on and off - on all the time you said - how will you idle the engine?

If the throttle channel ever goes below 25% the governor will disable itself. You defeat this in flight mode 1 and 2 but setting all throttle point in the curve to >25%.

In normal flight mode you can start the engine. Throttle jockey will not start governing until the throttle is above 25% AND the rotor speed has been above the setpoint for 1 second.

After you land and then pull the throttle stick low (in normal flight mode) the governor will disable and the engine will idle.
