i posted a poll a few weeks back

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_19...tm.htm#1937361

In the end, i wanted to buy the TT50 but i knew I might need some help with technical issues, so i ended up buying the OS50 at my local hobby shop. That way, they would be more than willing to help me without any addn'l service charges.

From my understanding the Raptor 50 SE is out. I think the hobby shops are taking orders.

So what does the 50SE have that the standard 50V2 doesn't have?

siclick33 posted this link in another section of this forum...
http://www.thundertiger-europe.com/i...D=2&tt_news=54

Looks like it just has some metal and CF parts and some lighter paddles for 3D. Nothing I'm interested in... except for the lighter paddles, it's mostly bling, IMO...

flyfree

Back to your original post, A Raptor 50 kit with the TT 50 would probably be the best value. The TT 50 is one sweet engine.

I'd vote for the OS .50 SX-H... mine runs great... lots of power. I've talked with a couple of guys that have flown both, and they said the OS wins for power, hands down. I got the 50 over the 30 for the extra power, so I wasn't going to skimp on the engine...

The OS 50 has a ton of power but the TT 50 is a bit smoother and saves on fuel. If you do go with the OS50 look into the crankshaft mod to keep the rear bearing lasting a long time.

The only thing the Raptor50SE has is just updated canopy, main metal hub, metal washout base, and 3d lightweight paddles. The rest are just cosmetic upgrades and not worth a lot.

I currently have a Raptor 50v2 for sale with the entire metal head upgrade and complete ready to fly at the classified section.

that's great that you are teaching your g/f to fly the heli. I said to my dad and 10 y/o sister that they could both fly my R30 if they practiced on the G2 and I saw that they could take off and fly well. They have my word on it though

BTW, I haven't heard anything of a 50SE coming out. This is the first that I've heard anything about it. You just have to love the forums. You can find out alot of new things before they even come out!!
