Default Cool !!

I suppose I will have to get me one this winter. I like the improvements. Can only make a great helicopter even better, and I have no complaints with my old one.

Thanks Hitch-Hiker....Keep us posted.

I heard the date for release was set for the first of Octoder. But we will see about that. If I owned the company, I know I would want them on the market before Christmas. But hey that is just me.

Their street prices will be lower but still I think it is high considering their 60 Kit goes for 489.99 I wonder how much will the 50 V2 go for.

I would expect to new v2 30 base kit to be only 10-20 dollars over the current 30 base kit.

Like Jimmy said, the 60 kit goes for 489.99 street and has a retail of 829.99.

Still a low priced kit!

What is the difference between Pro and Sport kits? I hope it isn't just bearings. The metal hub, grips, tail yoke would be a good start. Any idea when this info will be released? I can't see why the 50 wouldn't come out at the same time eitther. Your new site is looking good by the way. Nice you are getting the reps together for this.

Hi Rotorhead,

Based on only the pricing info and descriptions... I'm going to "guess" that there isn't going to be much more to the "pro" than just full bearings.

If/when I can get solid info on this I will post.

Thanks for the positive comments on the new site... I intended to get much more of it completed before I set it on the web, but wanted to get some info about the new 30 up as soon as I could. Yes, I have talked with many of the TT reps, and I think that if we all pull a little together with our combined knowledge of the heli's, it will turn into a great site of info and setups.

Default Pro and Sport Kit

Yes, it would be nice to know what all the differences will be. It looks like they may be trying the Century thing as in Sport and SE versions of the Hawk.

With Century the differences are substantial - full bearings, Composite manblades, full metal swashplate, triple bearing tail rotors, heavy duty low profile landing gear, metal hub on the main rotor, to name a few but the difference in price is $140.oo as it goes from only $160 to $299.00 for all these extras $140.00

Nice, they do have a conversion kit. looks like it will run a little under $100 retail, I'm guessing.

$100.00 for the upgrade kit would be sweet. I have heard more like $200.00 for the upgrade kit. Which is almost as much as a V1 kit. So I would love to see the $100.00 price tag over the alternative. But only time will tell.

MSRP for the upgrade is $200 so I suspect the Retail will be quite a bit lower. If the upgrade is not that much lower then I would buy the 30 sizer and transfer all my 50 only parts to it and make the 30 V2 into a 50 V2. And then I would have an extra Rapter 30!

Don't get me wrong I love my Raptor's but for the same price you can get a all metal fully upgraded Quick for that price.

Who wants to deal with the misery of trying to get parts for the Quick. It could be the best heli for the money in the world but not worth the misery of dealing with the importer here in the USA

There is only one online Heli Hobby shop and that is Rick's R/C.
They do not carry anything from Quick

Ricks, the only online heli shop???????? Not exactly. There are several shops out there. Not sure which ones carry Quick stuff, but I know that HeliProz carries quite a few of their upgrades for helis other that the Quick line. Also if you look closely at the new upgrades that Century is offering for the Raptor 30, they sure do look like Quick parts to me. Ricks is good to deal with, but DEFINATLY not the only shop.

Default Pro Kit w/TT 39

I had my buddy at the hobby shop call Ace to get a price on the V2 Pro Kit with the 39 engine. He quoted me $371. I think that is an excellent price. I think you all just got some sticker shock from actually seeing MSRP pricing.

That could very well be a good price on an ARF kit with engine.

I wouldn't be supprised to see the Kit with engine price to be under $350 at many hobby shops.
