Default tt39 . underpowered ?

I am now using 20% cool power fuel but when I give full stick movement the engine seems to sound like it is going to stall . I am using 9 degrees pitch at full stick and the throttle is 100%. Thare is plent of smoke from the exhaust and the engine temp is not getting too high. Any ideas??

Run it leaner or get an os37.

If you can hold your finger on the backplate its too rich, if you can hold it there 4 or 5 seconds before it gets uncomfortable you're right there, if you can't hold it there your too lean.

"Run it leaner or get an os37. "

you mean run it leaner or get an OS-50? hard to beleive there is a substantal power difference between the OS37 and TT39... I've heard that properly setup the TT is *slightly* stronger than the OS 37. though I don't know, I am lucky enough to have started off with the OS-50

The os 37 will blow the tt engine away AND it is 10x less hassle to get tuned right.

You can't just slap a 50 in a 30 as you can a 37. The 50 needs different gearing, longer blades and a longer boom as well as a different motor mount. The 37 is a drop in upgrade.

FULL STICK??
That thing should be hovering at half. How much pitch do you have at half throttle?
Ive never seen anyone use full throttle, unless theyscrewed up while they were learning 3D and were about to "auger in"

It does hover at half stick but I was using full throttle to do a climb out to try and set the high speed needle for the new fuel.
