WOOD BLADES
I need some advise...
a buddy of mine bought a raptor 30 and cut the plastic off the blades. Can I just clear coat these things to keep the fuel off or should I just tell him to get new blades. I'm sure he will crash with in the first couple of flights so these will not be on long term. I have heard that if the plastic is not on the blades can fly apart. We are only running it about 1600-1700 rpm

Hi,
I removed the shrink wrap from my 600mm TT wood blades and recovered them with white stick-on vinyl. I've had at least 50 flights with these blades without any trouble. If the blades have any sign of damage then I wouldn't use them.

hello,,,, i took the plastice off to ,, and clear coated them..... lets just say them wod blades do break and i will tell you this much the hurt when they come flying apart.....LOL,,,, not worth useing them,,,,,buy new ones
