I use heliproz for just about all my heli stuff. They are great to deal with and have the best prices most of the time.

I dont think Heliproz sells a combo with a radio including the Rappy. Call them, they will set you up with everything you need.

Isn't heli-kraft gray market items and therefore not covered under warrenty in the USA? That would be a major point if you needed manufacturer support and should be seriously considered. Is the few dollars saved worth it? and what about increased shipping cost, is that offset by lower prices, or does it become a wash??

I agree..... save money and buy Grey Market with TT stuff... Their support in very inconcistent...... good some times, poor at other times...... I remember back when the R60 came out and everyone was having problems...Turned out you just had to send in the old parts to get new ones... They didn't ask where ya bought it... Same thing with the early TT .36 Pro H's that had a really rough transition.... You just had to send in for a new main needle.... no questions asked....

So I guess what I'm saying is this.... If there's a manufacturing or design defect that's widespread, Ace won't ask any questions when it comes to getting replacement parts......and those are pretty much the only case when they give handouts.....

on that note... I've had nothing but great experiences with Charles at www.Helihut.com Say your kit comes missing some parts, or your Futaba stuff doesn't work right...He works with you.

(buying your Futaba stuff on the grey market is a bit of a different deal since Great Pains is more strict on their waranty items)

Default grey market

My R60 kit (about 1/2 done now) seems to be missing a whole bag of parts. Bearing, both flybar control rods, both elevator pitch "A"s, some screws. John at Helikraft has offered to make good on the parts, and I cant take it to ACE (very nearby!) cause they had nothing to do with it. But dont confuse manufacturer with distributor. TT sells it to Helikraft and backs up that line of distribution. Its just not as convienient or quick due to shipping.

John's shipping is very reasonalble (free on my R60), no tax, cheap price. Saved about 200$ over Heliproz and about 400$ over LHS.

I just ordered a R50 V2 kit from Heli-Kraft. TT 50 engine, TT all-metal upgrade swashplate & a set of NHP CF blades, shipped for $479.

I figure this way at a minimum I'm getting the metal swash for free.

We shall see.

Heh.

I figure that since everyone else is charging $479 for the same basic deal I might as well go with the company that gives me the most bits.

Got an email from them - my Rap50 shipped today!
