Default i give up

guys i can use some help here please..[]

i got a raptor60v2 and in the last two months i spent fuel only

trying to find whats whrong with my tail...

tail walks slowlyto the right(left rudder) and from time to time it gives violent left ruder

i have upload a video for you..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f16ErTgfWjY

0:28 notice the violent left rudder/not my input.

during all the video i never use left input on the stick only right to corect

spesialy at the end notice the tail walk alone..

some one sed it was un balanced cooling fan...i got a new one on..

i flew with a jr500t no one owned it around here to help set it up so they sed must be the gyro.

i got the futaba 401...video has the 401 on...same think again...

i realy cant enjoy my heli.any idea guys?

Hi Delgratogrande,

First of all, I would put your tx/gyro in rate mode, centre your tail trims (including sub trim) then alter your tail linkages till the heli hovers without turning left or right. Now, when you go back in to HH mode the heli should stay where you put it. You may want to check you have enough servo throw and that your tail slider etc are all in good order.

Try this and you should be OK.

Looks like a glitch, what are you using for a radio/receiver, pcm/ppm/2.4? Have you tried moving some of your wiring around (maybe move your antenna to the other side of the heli). It could be a bad bearing causing radio interference. Your going to have to try different things (trouble shot) to see if you can find the problem.
It might not be your gyro at all (I see you tried two different ones and it did the same thing), it could be some kind of radio interference. If you have radio interference "USUALLY" the first place you will see it is in the tail.

for what I see, I think that your GAIN is too low...

usually you have to increse the % of gain from your Transmiter and stop until the tail starts kicking when you give rudder.... once that it kicks, then decrease a couple of points the gain until stops kicking and it will be rock solid.......

go to www.raptortechnique.com you will get lots of info about setting properly the gyro for the raptor....

Did you use foam tape to mount the gyro?? Futaba sells the stuff I think you usually get three squares of tape per package, stack all 3 and mount your 401 with that stuff, it helps damp vibrations, and keeps from "confusing" the gyro.

In case of using an analog servo ,you have not only set the DS switch at OFF position but also you have to adjust the DELAY trimmer. Turn it all the way to the left (0%) and start giving more and more delay, untill your tail is steady.
You have better to use a good digital servo, like futaba 9254. I use it on my raptor 30 with a GY-401 and the tail is really steady. I use futaba 2.4 receiver too.Using a digital servo, you have to set the DS switch at ON and the delay trimmer all the way to the left (no delay).
For AVCS mode, make sure that rudder mixing is set to zero (no rudder mixing) and the gyro gain is set above 50%. You have 50 units margin not 100, so if you want for example 84% sensitivity in AVCS mode, you should set gain channel at 92%.

You only use 1 square to mount the gyro with. If you're using 3M outdoor mounting tape, which works well, better than the stock foam really, then use two layers.

......promblem solved...at least until now...i flew it 20 minutes and the tail was solit!

ill also go back to the j500t gyro the next day and let you know

.....there is an issue with the new 2.4 receivers of futaba /they have week signal(white cable output) and other units cant read it..so this must be it!

the solution is signal amplifiers like this one ill get soon:
