how tight should these blades be , no info in book.....thanks

They shouldn't move on their own but be loose enough so that they will move with your finger. This basically means loose but not too loose :) As you spool up the main rotor, both the main rotor blades and the tail rotor blades will swing out straight on their own......Hope this helps.
Main rotor blades will be definitely tighter as loose main blades can result in a boom strike.

I set mine so that they are only just tight enough to hold themselves horizontally

Everyone I know runs theirs loose... By loose I mean, that they won't drop by themselves but will move if you apply light pressure... Another guy at our field runs his so loose that you can blow on them and they'll move... It works for him... He scrapes his tail rotor against the ground quite a bit and never lost a blade or gear...

If you tighten them too much that they don't move at all, then when they spool up, they won't lead/lag correctly and you could get some vibration or wobble...
