Hardware problems

Ive had my rappy titan for almost a year now and Im not done building. All thats holding me back from completion is servo installation.
The hardware to the collective, throttle, and tail servos won't tighten. Whats wrong?[&:]

The hardware won't tighten??? Can you please be more specific? Your screws wont tighten?

i believe the screws provided with the servo's aren't large enough and specialized screws are included with the kit.. or they were over tightened and now the threads have been stripped out of the plastic requiring a slightly larger screw

The screws won't go into place. Sometimes they go into place but won't stay there.[:@] The screws are undersized. I don't understand why thunder tiger would include such low quality hardware.[&:]

That's weird, I have 4 Raptors and never had that problem. You are talking of the screws that mount the servos into the frame? It sould be some large self tapping screws and the servo tray just has small pilot holes drilled and the screw cuts its own thread when you install it, don't over tighten.

So thats why they won't go in easily.[X(] But there's a few other things I'm concerned about. The holes on the tail servo mount are shaped like ovals. Also, the collective servo mount is backwards. Is this normal?[&:]

RE: Hardware problems

The mounting plate to put the servo on the tail does have oval holes, not a problem, just bolt it on. Collective servo mount is backwards? Are you using the push/pull? If so.... Install the push/pull assembly so the linkage is straight down from the tray to the assembly. Adjust the linkage so your head is centered. Install the servo and adjust the lingage to the push/pull assembly with the servo centered, if it travels the wrong direction then reverse the servo. Hope this helps and is what you were asking.

What I ment was that the holes for that servo are on the opposite side of where they're supposed to be in order for the servo to fit.
(collective servo)

RE: Hardware problems

I'm sorry but can't fiqure out what your describing. The collective servo goes on the left side with the throttle servo. Your servo tray has to be like every other one made, I don't see how it can't fit. You can PM me with more detail if you want, I have 2 Titans, I'm sure we can fiqure it out.

RE: Hardware problems

The collective servo mount is on the left where it should be, but the holes for the screws are on the right. Thats why I said it's backwards.

And you thing yours was made different than the other million Raptors out there? Post a picture, I would love to see what you are talking about.
