RV Transport Tiedown
Have a RV that has large side to side rear bay storage area. Looking for ideas to tie down items in this 4x4x8 storage area. Want to carry large model RC airplanes(1/4 scale) as well as RC field box along with other large items such as tables, chairs etc. Any ideas??

How about a piece of 1/4" hole peg board, with some 1x2 frame for rigidity. Screw the peg board to the 1x2 flat so you'll only be giving up 1" of height
All those predrilled holes gives you plenty of spots to use Bungees or bolt on brackets, and it's easy to change holes when needed,
Bungee it all down and slide it in, shut the access doors and off you go

RE: RV Transport Tiedown
Thanks for the input. I need to hang them from one side not flat on the bottom. Need the flat area to store other large items, bicylcles, etc. Peg board one side would not properly support 1/4 scale planes. Thanking about using 2x4 with holes to place wood doles in it. Not sure about strapping down becuse there is a ot of bouncing in the back of RV going down the road
Thanks for your input

See I'm thinking you cut the storage in half, top/bottom.
The peg board is a shelf on top that could slide out that holds the planes, then the other bulky things that can bounce around each other would be below not able to contact the planes.
The way the back of my truck/camper shell is set up I have about a 2'x4'x8' space and I can easily get 3 1/4 scale extra 300 size planes in there if need be
Another option is to build crates for each plane that could stack and strap to the side
just a couple thoughts,, good luck

Dividing top and bottom sounds good. Bolt in a good frame and then slide out shelf. Time to go to the drawing board
Thanks
