Default leading edge sheeting?

I removed the covering from the wings of a P-51 Electric ARF ( 49"ws) to beef up the retract supports. In so doing I noticed that all the wing ribs were either cracked or split from shipping. OK to the point: Ive started to apply balsa sheeting from the LE to the main spar and now I need some advice. "How should I taper the sheeting in order to mate-up with the leading edge? remember this was a ARF so the ribs tops were flush from LE to main spar. ALL IDEAS WELCOME.....if any thanks

Gentle use of a razor plane on a shallow setting, followed by 120grit sandpaper.

Use 1/4" cap strips on each rib to about 3/4 from the trailing edge. Sheet the trailing edge also.

Adds a bit of weight but won't matter.

Charlie, how you been doing?. You did that RED BULL job for me a couple of years ago. Great Job BTW !. Its been hotter here in Balt. than in Jupiter but thats about to change in 3weeks. FALL, you remember that.

I fixed the LE by watching a Dave Platt video.. if you have never seen those Black Art videos' you really missing something. Drop me a line!
