I've read a lot about CA glues in some of the forums, like will it cause brain damage, etc. It used to cause brain damage to me because I had so much damn trouble keeping the tip open. It doesn't any more, though, since I read a tip from some modeler that went like this: "Tap the CA container sharply on your work bench after use." Well, duh, I tried it and it works. (My wife thinks my brain is still damaged, but she always has.) It puts the glue back in the bottle, clearing the tip. I also use a piece of fuel tubing about an inch long to cap it and this seems to work great. Of course the 1 inch fuel line is stopped up at the other end with a short 4-40 hex-head bolt.

you got it all just about right except that I never put a cap on the bottle. The first thing I do after opening a bottle of glue is throw the cap away. I have never had a bottle of glue go bad execpt for one brand and then I changed brands. I have a minium of three bottles of various types of ca open at all times on my bench, sometimes for months.

I use the UFO versions of CA, due to extreme allergic response to the normal blends..
As these are liquid gold, it's economical to NOT have the bottle tip over and leak.
I made up this support after a few episodes of spill...
And I usually keep the cap on, although it's not strictly required.
