Default Restoring old iron on....

I am assembling a old Will Hobby ARF. The heat shrink covering on the plane is starting to go bad. The clear is separating from the color. I would just strip the clear and cover over it but some of the color comes off with the clear and some stays on the wood.
Anyone have a good cure for resealing the clear back down. I used some testors liquid plastic glue but it also attacks the color when I go to smooth it down and the color smears out from under the clear and also strips the color.
Thanks.

CA glue will stick it back down, but it still won't look as good. When the film starts to delaminate from the color, it's time to strip the plane and redo it.
