Default Simulated Hinges

Hey Guys,
When metal piano hinges are too large, how do you simulate a hinge on small hatches or latches? Thanks. Chic

Default simulated hinges

You can simulate hinges bu using small dia. alum. tubing. Cut into small pieces and run wire thru center. You must glue every other tube to same surface on one side, then glue the other tubes to opposite surface. Do this very carefully and you will have a scale hinge that works also. Just use wire to keep it all lined up, and keep wire lubed also so you do not glue it in place.

I use aluminum tubing too of the appropriate diameter, then roll it with a #11 blade to score the tubing at the spacing desired. i don't cut it all the way through.
Looks very realistic and very simple to do.
