Default Servo hatch question

The kit is a Kyosho Sensation 1400. A 40 size pattern type. The instructions don't say but would like some input on whether or not it matters how I epoxy the 3/4" servo blocks onto the hatch cover. Epoxy the end-grain to the hatch and screw the servo into the side-grain or, vice versa.

I'm just getting back into the hobby after a 6 year hiatus. This is my first ARF (they're alot better than back then!). I never did attached my wing servos to the hatch cover so this is a first for me. Also, thanks RCUniverse for the awesome site!

Default Servo hatch question

I would glue them in with the grain to the servo hatch. If you have the grain running the same direction as the servo screws you take a chance on the wood splitting. Welcome back to the hobby, and especially welcome to RCU.
