Default Recovering My Old Fun Scale Stang

Stripped off old yellow monokote with help of heat gun and scaped gummy residue with dull X-Acto as much as possible. Removed remaining gook with fine steel wool moistened with Acetone.(Do it outside). Sucked remaining oil out of fuselage with
Texize K2R spot lifter.( Found a cache of K2R at a discount store, can be hard to find) Apply to greasy balsa, it foams up into a white powder that absorbs grease. (Let it sit and absorb oil)Takes multiple applications where there is a lot of deeply soaked in oil. Coat wood with Balsarite then apply new film covering. Seal covering with Polyuretahane varnish. This time I'm covering with chrome monokote, dulled with a green Scotchbrite pad.

This is the second recovering of this 15 year old .40 size Mustang
