Default Chart tape Panel Lines

I laid out the panel lines on the wing of my TF Spit using 1/32" chart tape, and man do they look cool Really makes the model look good.

Anyway, my question is, how much primer should I spray? As in, how many coats is reasonable? It's a pretty small model (63"), so I don't want to add a ton. I've put on 3 heavy coats of spot filling primer, centering the spray on the lines so I don't add primer everywhere, all willy-nilly.

I did the same on a test piece, lightly sanded with 400, and peeled the tape off. I was left with a very shallow line. I put a light coat of primer and a light coat of color over it, and the line almost disappeared.

I normally apply two to three coats of primer directly on the chart pak tape. It's not necessary to primer the entire model.
