If any of you have screws installed with some form of threadlocker on it and you can't get it out or you may mess up a blind nut? Get a soldering iron, heat it up good and hot and then put the tip onto the head of the screw to get the screw hot and it will liquify the threadlocker so you can unscrew it.

Great tip. I'll file that one away for future use. Thanks Cyclic.

YUP it works. USED this trick in the past.A word for the wise ;use the trick, BEFORE you strip the head on the fastener.[:@]LIVE and learn....The correct choice in thread locker strength,is important. There is several,"STRENGTHS"...I use all of them..Just choose the right product for the job. That way you shouldn`t need to pull the tricks out of the bag too often, and save the iron for the real stubborn ones..[8D] DAVE B.

Yup, I've had to do this too.

Ancillary tip: a 100-watt gun is what you want for this. I was there all day with a 30-watt 'pencil'; finally got impatient and broke out the "big gun".
