Ever need to replace a worn out tail wheel and there ain't one in the old wheel Box ? Go down to the local "Dollar" store and pick up a toy plastic race car ! You get FOUR wheels for a dollar ! The cars come in various sizes, and so do the wheels !Some even come with rubber tires and 1/16" axel holes already drilled ! Cheap?,Not me. I'm FRUGAL ! LOL !

The dollar store toilet brushes come with a plastic cup that makes a good and nearly indestructible cowl for smaller planes. They're perfect for the simple Staggerwing, and the cologne sprays are small aluminum mousse type cans that make ultra-light small fuel tanks when made with a thinned down tank stopper assembly.

It's called the " Dollar Tree" down here in Florida. Every thing is one dollar or less ! Most of the stuff is from China but still great bargains ! The toy Barbie Type dolls (male & female) make perfect "pilots".. Some in uniforms to boot !

I usually buy bamboo skewers there for mixing epoxy. Two different lengths to choose from. Small tupperware type bowls too for the mixing pot, if your careful about not getting the epoxy up the sides, after it hardens it pops right out. Any residue left cleans up with acetone.

I buy crepe paper for combat streamers. You get about 2 80' rolls for a buck, cut them in half and into three streamers each 6 streamer for a buck. Also check out the tool section most of the stuff there is cheap and hardly usuable, but one can pick up epoxy brushes, sandpaper and clamps for cheap.
