Default Coloring Epoxy

Any ideas on coloring epoxy? Not really concerned about the strength...just want to coat the inside of the cowl and fuse cheeks.

I have been using Anchor Bond epoxy purchased through this site
http://www.anchorseal.com/products/abondprod.asp

150-Minute Epoxy Pump Kit
Packaged in 4.5 oz. bottles (9 oz. total) with metering pumps
Low odor, no Mercaptan
Standard dispense amount per stroke: 2 cc.

At the bottom are coloring agents. When I placed my order I got the set. I mix it really well with the resin [the coloring agent is a thick paste] then add the hardener.

Epoxy Coloring Dispersions - Colorset
• Packaged in 1 oz. Jars
• Color Set contains 1 oz. Each of Red, White, Blue, Yellow, and Black
• Simply add 1 to 3% (depending on desired color strength) to your epoxy mixture

I just use a little Practa Enamel in 30 min epoxy. Works great in the engine compartments. Done it for years.

Enjoy,

Jim

I am sure you could go to your local cake decorating supply store and get some coloring. They usually carry pastes and powders very strong stuff. a few dabs and can turn a whole cake blood red. That the stuff i used.

A friend uses Tempra (?) paint powder for coloring epoxy fillets, etc. Seems to work OK.

I always just "stained" the balsa with testors enamel and then applied thinned epoxy over it.
