Default Make Painting Boards

This is something I've been meaning to get around to for years. Yes, they were very tedious to make but now that I have them I'm glad I spent the time making them.

This is a low-tech system that is probably more versatile than some of the expensive painting jigs that have come and gone over the years. Anyway, if you paint many models then you might want to consider making a few of these along with some extra hands.

Paul,
Hmmm, looks to me like somebody is making new fixtures for a magnetic building board!!!!!

BTW, the painting boards look great. Looks like I have another new project for this winter!!!!

Ken - I had one set of fixtures made. I got two orders so I decided to make four sets. They were all sold before I even had the blanks cut out. And then I got more orders. I think next summer I'll prepare better for the winter building season since that seems to be when I get most orders for these things. I'm not complaining but I wasn't expecting to spend the winter making fixture sets.

BTW, the grooved pieces and the triangles on the left are going to be a sanding block holder when it grows up. It can hold twenty-two 1/2" sanding blocks.
