Default mounting mini retracts

The mini retracts are to be scewed onto the mounting plates with dowel strengtheners where the screws are to be located. Shall I use 2-56 wood screws or machine screws into tapped holes ( more work ) ? TKs

I would think the wood screws would work just fine as long as there is enough wood for the screws to tighten up in. Good Luck, Dave

If you are worried about the screws pulling out of the wood this is worth a try.

Drill a pilot hole as normal then dribble in a little thin cyano. [ the foam friendly version if it is a foam model]

Wait till it sets then fit the retracts.

I was thinking of :
a) Drill pilot hole b) Install wood screws to get the threads cut. c) Remove the screws & drop in some foam safe CA d) Final retract installation after the c/a has set.
There wont be much vibration as this one is a EDF and I think steps b) & c) could be eliminated
