Has anyone ever used the spray paint for RC Cars and Canopies called "Window Tint"? I believe it's made by Testors.
If you have, I would appreciate any building tips you might have from previous experience. I tried the stuff out on a sample piece of plastic and it looked awful!
Thanks,

From: gone,
I haven't used the Testor's stuff... However, Gila used to make some window tint sprays for automotive (not model) use. The key to getting good results was to have a VERY clean window, and to spray so it evenly flowed off the glass, then let it drip onto an absorbant (lots of paper towels... heck of a mess to try it with the window installed in the car... best to remove it and then spray it. One reason they discontinued it.)
The Gila stuff worked great for tinting canopies and such, and was probably similar to what the Testors stuff is. (test on scrap, make sure it doesn't melt the plastic when applied that heavilly.)
Its the opposite of how you're trained to do spray paint. Thin coats with transparent paint on transparant plastic = lots of streaks.
