No more covering irons???
 

I am building my first kit in quite a few years and wanted to purchase a new hanger 9 covering iron since i ruined my old one.

BUT....(sorry for the yell) No-one I repeat no-one on the internet (besides e bay) sells these or if they do they can't get any. I believe I got mine from Tower years ago but they no longer even offer them for sale. Did hanger 9 stop making covering irons? and if so can anybody give me a link to a reliable dealer where I might could find another iron THANX

I see them at Horizon Hobby, Hobby King (both back ordered), Amazon, and Ovis (edge banding iron).

Aircraft Spruce and Specialty is where I got the last one that I bought.

As a kid and used my mother household iron. Did that for 20 years before i got my first dedicated covering iron. In many ways i still prefer a bigger iron. Yeah it's heavy but the greater area makes it easier to hit the seams well and I find I use my heat gun less on open areas.
