RE: CA Spill
Just curious about the post about nitro-methane removing CA. New to glow power, years of experience in rubber free flights. Any way, does nitro really "de-bond" CA or does it just clean up the "fog" from the vapors?
Thank you oh wise and experienced ones.;) GrumE |
RE: CA Spill
Use caution with nitro. It is more toxic than acetone.

I am always sanding my fingertips when I am about to leave the shop for the night-
You could be CA'ing the tail section and holding the airplane by the nose and it will run down and attach you to the aircraft! |
RE: CA Spill
One additional note about debonders. Depending on the brand, debonders may be
acetone, nitromethane, nitroethane, or mixtures of acetone and nitromethane. If you want to check the ingredients of any brand, go to their web site and check the material safety data sheets (msds). A couple of manufactures are [link=http://www.pacertech.com]pacer technologies (zap)[/link] or [link=http://www.e-zbond.com/]e-z bond, (private labels)[/link] |
