Am I doing right?

I am building a TF 182 kit. I have rough sanded the fuse before applying a thin coat of ultralite automotive body filler. Sanded down to almost transparent thickness with 400 grit sandpaper I still can see some imperfections. Should I use something like Hobbicos' Hobbylite filler to fix the really small spots and then glass the whole thing before painting? Or, should I forgo the Hobbylite filler and see if the glass hides them? I estimate the bad spots to be around .002" deep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the marks are that small, the glass will take care of them.

you can also use spot putty. you can get it the same place you got the light weight. better to fill the holes now than to try and fill them when the glass has dried.[:@]

P.S. I supply the auto body industry. good luck

I would suggest glassing it now. The glassing will normally take care of it. When you sand the fiberglass after you will most likely see some other small imperfections. At that point, if any imperfections show up, use the spot putty. Just make sure you let the spot putty dry completely as most of them tend to shrink a little when drying.
