RE: How do you fix wheel spats to landing gear?
you mean pants?
usually they just bolt in between the wheel hub and the landing gear ....then it covers the wheel.... make sense? Just found this link http://www.modelairplanenews.com/how_to/wheel_pants.asp I have not read the article to verify if it is any good.... but it looks like it would do... |

RE: How do you fix wheel spats to landing gear?
If you mean the doors that go over the wire landing gear when the gear is up,
hot glue from a hot glue gun. It stays kinda flexable, holds good, and resists vibration. Use the regular gear straps to mount the gear....then hit it with the hot glue to really hold it in place, and keep it from turning. [sm=thumbup.gif] FBD. ;) |

Actually, I believe that Topwing is more accurate than we in the US are. Pants cover legs, not shoes. Spats cover shoe (wheel) tops, therefore "Spats".
