Polyester Fuse repair
I have a "moderatly" crashed plane with a Glass fuse. When I look at all the glue work inside of the fuse most of the joints have poped loose. I started to sand on the inside of the fuse to put a patch in place and the dust from the fuse has that smell like it has been molded with Polyester resin which I think is why all the joints have poped loose. I seem to remember that the only thing that will stick to Polyester is polyester. If you have any advice on how to go about my repairs chip in here but I think I am stuck with stinky Polyester if I want to do this repair properly.

RE: Polyester Fuse repair
Yes you can use polyester, but you can also use Epoxy, but you have to ruff up the surface a littie bit so it will grab. Epoxy on a smooth surface will pop.

Yes, you can use epoxy on cured polyester, but polyester will not stick to cured epoxy. Go figure...
