MonoKoat over UltraCoat question

Can you use MonoKoat over UtraCoat for stripping? It works at a higher temp. So didn't know if that would work good or not. Thought it might bubble the UltraCoat. Has anyone done this? I have use UltraCoat over MonoKoat with no problems. But just so happens the colors I have sitting around for this plane make it work the other way.

Thanks

JIM

RE: MonoKoat over UltraCoat question

Yes you can. One technique involves putting it down with windex, letting it dry then using solvent or an iron to seal the edges. Obviously this approach won't work on anything but simple surfaces because the monocoat must perfectly adher to the surface without using heat.
I have ironed the monocoat on and to do this without trapping air bubbles is primarily a function of your ironing technique. Working out from the center to avoid the bubbles works well.

Since this is posted int the Q&A forum also, I'm going to lock this one.

It is against RCU policy to post the same Question in more than one forum.
