GWS Tiger Moth (camera on board)
 

Has anyone tried flying a still camera on a GWS Tiger Moth?
Making some changes like added a Park 370 Outrunner brushless motor powered with an 11.1 v Lipo battery. I also had to strengthened up the wing to keep it from collapsing. That's as far as I got so far. The Tiger flies extremely well with half throttle now. I can get her up high in no time. It's fast and loops and loops with ease. She has so much more power to spear but will she carry the weight of a small camera 3 oz. with batteries, including the servo and rubber band's to hold the camera in place. The plane's weight is 12 OZ. without the camera and 15 OZ total Weight with the camera. My question is Will this plane fly with extra weight on bard?

Theres only one way to find out.
Go for a ground take off instead of a hand launch, at least that way you are not gonna force it to fly.

Damn i posted twice by accident, oh well il make use of it . . try to keep the extra wight of the camera at the centre of gravity if possible

The camera (an AIPTEX pencam) is very small. I can fit it under the top wing between the upright wing braces with no room to spare. It seems to be balanced right at that possession. It will be a side shot from the camera. Less wind drag with the camera facing sideways.
It's been to windy here in North FL. so I haven't tried the test flight yet. I'll post my results later when I get a good calm day to do a test flight. I think your right, I'll do the ground take off.

GWS Tiger Moth
First flight with an Aiptek pen cam on board was successful!
Mods.... Direct drive 370 Parks brushless, Under Wing reinforcement, 11.1V Lithium.
Flew steady without any problem. Sat the camera in the back seat on an angle. Used rubber bands to secure it. Used servo to trigger the shudder.
It was hard to aim the camera. Got a few good shots of our sub.
