Beginner questions
 

The stock hinges are junk. I've seen several break in flight, one guy almost had his elevator fall completely off. the hinges just snapped. Go to your local hobby shop, get some good hinges from Du-Bro, or they sell them online: http://www.shopatron.com/product.pht...117&mfg_id=101

As far as the landing gear block, you need to get some balsa triangle stock and epoxy it to the landing gear block and the fuse sides.
