Cutting CA Hinges & Re-Installing Elevator

OK, I goofed, sort of. I mounted my elevator to tight, resulting in restricted movement on my H9US. It is a one piece elevator with 3hinges per side. I have a hinge slotter. My question is - Is there anything special to watch out for here, or do I just get in there with a blade and slice the hinges in half and cut new slots "BESIDE" the old hinges? Will the CA wick correctly and stick good, or do I need move along the surface and put the new hinges in an entirely new area. thanks.

locate the new slots close but not right next to the old slots. the CA can harden the balsa but if you relocate them about 1/4" away the would should be untainted by CA.

Just cut the old off and sand down any material that is protuding and you will be fine
