Kyosho Ag Wagon
Hey Guys,
Just a little history first, one of our members had a Kyosho Ag Wagon ARF. This plane is 10 month's old and has crashed four times. The first was out of the box and the plane was terribly nose heavy and crashed (cosmetic only). The second was maybe or maybe not pilot error (do not know the circumstances). The third was poor spotting on the spotters part and it went into the tree's (unfortunally I was the spotter). The fourth was after the last rebuild (minor) another pilot in our club was taking it on a test flight and it nosed in (electronic's problem suspected). So the owner of the plane decided to put this plane in the trash can. So to make this story short I now have a almost new plane. My question is I want to change the "karma" on this plane. To do this I want to repair ( everthing south of the firewall ok and the wing broke the next rib from the wing joiner) and recover in a new color. Can I repaint the plastic parts such as the wing tips and the upper struts holders? If so what kind of paint and what preparations? Thanks, Jimmy |

Thanks for the info, but do I need to prepare the plastic before painting (such as solvents, scuffing, ect.)

If you want a real acrobatic ag wagon, put an extra 300 wing on it
(friend, please dont ask) |

my first agwagon, she cant be rebuild, the hole front end is split apart, the backend is shattered, the covering is holding it toghether, the control surfaces came off at impact, one servo in the wing come loose, hit the covering so hard, the left the colloring of the wires there, it wasa major loose, now i own 2 more, one, which is my pride and joy.Had the hitec radio lock up on me, no control, she did outside loops, perfect!!!the went in at a 90 degree angle. I heard the bang from about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away.

I'm curious about the flying characteristics of the ag wagon when it comes to the amount of rudder required during flight.
I don't particularly use the rudder much, if any after takeoff! This is due to the fact that I fly using my mouth--teeth to work the joysticks and I'm unable to get back and forth fast enough to control the elevator, aileron, rudder and throttle! Anyone have any advice when it comes to somewhat eliminating the rudder use? I know it's necessary for some moderate corrections, but surely it can be eliminated to a certain degree... To understand how someone that's paralyzed from the neck down can fly and how I'm able to do so so easily visit my web page at http://www.geocities.com/kdn_63 Thanks... and send any information to me direct at [email protected] |
Ag Wagon
To tell you the truth, I pulled my Ag Wagon out of the trash bin. It has been crashed four times that I know of. After the trash bin I put it back together just enough to fly it. I flew it six times that afternoon, and it flew ok, not much need for rudder except for take off because I had the engine 3/8" off center
(did not have the right motor mount). Of course I did not really put it through it's paces, I was just seeing if it was worth rebuilding. I am now in the process of rebuilding it now. I should be able tell you something in about a month. If you are interested P.M me your email address and I will send you some pictures of the rebuilding process. Hooter--BTW--how is your agwagon coming along. I still havent put mine toghether--i just kick it once and a while when it gets in my way. I have hard feeling towards it.--no i have a a awsome biplane ive thought about converting to a crop duster.

It is comming along, I think it is harder to rebuild one than building from a kit. I t should be flying in about a month. I will send you some pictures.

After visiting your web site, im very impressed--in fact very impressed. i was wondering how you flew before i visited you web site. nice car--its big--. But one question remains, how do you build, or does someone build for you? |
Kyosho Ag Wagon
Unfortunately, I rely on others to build my models! It usually runs about $100.00 or $150.00 to get one built, it all depends on what all is involved i.e. time, covering, difficulty etc… Fortunately I have nice club members-friends that can build planes very well, when they have time to build for someone else! I’m looking for someone to build me yet another plane now. I tried teaching a friend to fly this summer and it cost me my best airplane. Grrrr….. I’ve managed to teach several others just fine, but this guy just wasn’t cut out to fly! Thanks for dropping by my web site also; I need to finish updating it soon!
