Pull Pull Pass Through. How do u do it?
Well I took a brake form building my 35% Edge 540 and bilt an Pizza Box Flyer. For the pull pull on that I used spider wire.. Over Kill? I think so. But what a fun plane.

Spider wire is a braided line I believe. There are other braided fishing lines that are considered low stretch. I haven't used them, but no people who have that are happy with them.

where do i get teflon tubing as all 3 shops near me shrug and say i dont know never heard of it ? http://www.cstsales.com/index.htm |
Teflon Tubing
This is not a teflon product by any means, but. I have began experimenting with the inexpensive (generic) cotton applicators(Q-Tips) on my current planes, the jury on wear is still out at this time.

Teflon all kinds
http://www.mcmaster.com/ This is my favorite goody shop for all kinds of hard to find stuff. Lots of teflon tubing to be found. Try a search for teflon tube. There is also an industrial name for teflon i think its ptf. Not sure on that though. Anyone know? |

I use "antenna lead tubes" available at the LHS in the K&S brass/copper tubing and threaded wire section. These are teflon tubes used for routing your receiver antenna to the rear of the airplane. Great with kevlar!

FYI, TEFLON is a registered trademark of E.I. DuPont's TFE Flurocarbon resins, known as PTFE.

Pull Pull Pass Through. How do u do it?
Just out of curiosity, would the pull-pull system be stable in say a tail slide? Or would the slack allow the surface to flutter despite the propwash? Anyone with experience on this?

thats why we use pull pull to eliminate flutter! but the servo is also very impotant.

I use pieces of Sullivan yellow pushrods, that are epoxied to
the fuse. |

Thanks Adrian,
Will be trying my first pull-pull installation tommorow evening, hope it becomes the "miracle" system I need. The slop I have noticed using pushrods is very scary, especially on my Cap-232, and as a result of that I havent dared to maiden the plane yet. Unfortunately, as I am retrofitting the system, it means I have great big holes where the pushrods were. Thanks for the info everyone, this thred has been very helpful. |

Those holes are easy to fix. Cut them bigger so they make a nice rectangle shape. Then cut pieces to fit. Before you glue them in, put the holes in them for the nyrod or whatever guides you are using. It will look fine after you glue them in place and sand it a little.
If it's already covered, just remove a patch of covering and tape over it to protect it from the sandpaper. |
