CT-Scanning would do the job. :D

Tell more details about the landing gear fairing. The methods vary so much depending on the the job.

Quite often, a pencil, some thin cardboard and pair of scissors is sufficient to make templates.

HEY IKAROS

thats just what I did. I mean, I made a timplate with card stock, then made a small block to fit. These skirts/pants/trousers, legfeathers/....or whatever we want to call them, are going to be mounted to the block, and then the skirt filled with expanding foam, to secure them to the wire, preventing them from moving around, and still allowing them to move with the gear. The tops have been trimmed so as not to contact the wing in case of hard landings. Thanx for your willingness to help. I thought that I had posted a stupid question, as no-one replied . thanx again!

It is only a pleasure to help (wich I didn't because you said you already did so). Maybe I made you stop wondering if there is a miracle trick to do it different.

Besides, how can I expect to get advice if I am not willing to give it myself ? :D

Cheers,
Ikaros

And it was not a stupid question like " is a stone heavy ? "

I think it was a good question. Those questions asked makes it easier for others when they read it. That is why most of us are here.

Cheers,
Ikaros
