CA (thin) application help
 

No matter how small of a "nozzle" I use on the bottle of thin CA, toomuch comes out for the very fine work I am doing (many very small parts). Does anyone know how to reliably get just a "touch" of CA at a time. Also, the thin nylon tubing you can insert into the bottle just immediately clogs. Any help would be appreciated.

Tip for the small tubes. With the bottle pointed up squeeze it a little then turn the bottle to apply glue to surface. When finished turn bottle back straight up and release. This will suck the glue back into the bottle. Now tap it a couple times on the counter top will nock the glue back down.

I often drizzle a little thin CA on a pin and apply it that way.

I found just the ticket for thin CA a couple years ago. Dave Brown products "CA applicator" disposable squeeze bulbs.
You keep the CA bottle in the freezer and only pull out a little each time. When the tip gets fouled with balsa dust, you just snip off the messed up part and keep going. If you need to get some thin CA into a very tight place, you stretch the tube between two pliers and it will pull down very thin - excellent for getting thin CA down into hinges. Also, the tube part is about 6" long - perfect for getting inside fuselages.
The best part is the incredible precision you can get to control the CA. The bulb and tube are transparent, so as you squeeze the bulb part, you can see the CA wicking down the tube towards the tip and you can literally deposit one tiny drop exactly where you need it. The tube is thin enough that if it tips over on your bench, the CA stays in the bulb end.

Look for the C/A Applicators. . . . Well worth the money and one package will last you a couple years. . .

When I'm finished gluing, I place the tip in a small bottle of acetone overnight. The CA will not clog as the acetone cleans the glue from within the tube. If you cannot (or don't want to) remove the tip, wipe it down with a well dampened paper towel of acetone.

I can't recall the last time I purchased CA applicators/tubes.
